Sorry for the lack of articles of late, I’ve been juggling parenting and working on latest book (1001 Mountain Tips). But, in way of an apology, and some meat for my benefactors, here’s my old film Cold Haul, about the (sort of) second ascent of the Lafaile route on the Dru, which was in 2001 or 2 I think.
Note, the film was originally filmed in 7 something, not HD or 4K, so looks a lot better on a phone or tablet than a great big fuck off TV. The film is very rough around the edges, but there’s something it has that modern film tend to lack, which I guess is the authenticity of imperfection.
Great film, Andy. Raw but very watchable.
