Hi Everyone. On tour at the moment, which is both fun, scary, and hard work. Fun because it’s nice to be on the road, scary because I’ve not stood on a stage or performed for well over three years, and hard work as there’s a lot of late nights, driving, and illness avoidance (getting sick and losing my voice is one of my nighttime terrors). I’ve had a few issues with what has become a very sensitive audience (even mimicking the Genie from the Lamp seems to make some feel uncomfortable), but as the tour has gone on, I’ve slowly felt more comfortable, and confident in my value as a performer, as well as the value of what I’m saying (you can listen to some of the backstories of the tour on my latest podcast).

Even though I’m touring, and getting to meet a lot of people who subscribe to this Substack, I’m still working on articles for this substack (one of synthetic fibre fill and one on shorts… yes, that does sound shit!), but both seem to be taking an age to wrap up.

In the meantime, I’ve done a few little things worth watching/listening to, one being a long conversation on strength training with Swiss Kettlebell master Gregory Dzemaili (video below), as well as a military-based podcast The Unconventional Soldier, where we discuss the cross-over between what mountaineers do and what soldiers do.

Fingers crossed I’ll have something more solid later this week!

Andy
