I found this little slideshow on a memory stick this afternoon, a little music with images from the end of my last (and final) tour back in 2020 (I think).
Did not expect to be seeing a few of the spots I regularly climb at show up in the first few seconds of that slideshow.. altho I recall you writing about having friends in South Africa, very nice. There's a pic in there that looks a lot like camping out in the Drakensberg - I don't suppose you did any climbing while out there?
We just walked up Mafadi (Winter ascent ; ), but did climb at the usual spots like Mount Everest, Waterval Boven, Swinburne. Amazing how a country with so much going for it can fuck itself up so much.
Ha, winter ascents of Mafadi and Everest... Ya well we've got an election coming up with proper "hold my beer" potential, stay tuned. Maar ons vok voort (but we fuck onward).
